Whiskers 'N Tails Mousery

Now pictured is the current setup of the mousery.

All cages are thoroughly cleaned once a week and bedding is replaced at that time.

Cages are furnished with aspen litter, paper tubes, nesting materials and housing of some sort.

Does are always caged with other does unless they are nursing or with a buck for breeding.

Whiskers 'N Tails' mice eat a staple of lab block; Harlan Teklad, 24% protein, is preferred but Mazuri blocks, 23% protein, are used when Harlan isn't available. Along with the blocks, they receive a hand-full of rolled oats (old fashioned) each day.
